Overview of Trading Objectives and Rules

LAM Overview

The Live Action Mode (LAM) program is a pioneering initiative in the Trading Evaluation Space, blending the benefits of instant simulated funding with a structured approach to ensure transparency for traders. This program introduces instant simulated accounts, allowing our firm to effectively analyze trader performance via a progressive gains system. Although the idea of "Limits" might seem restrictive, this program is carefully crafted with the interests of both traders and the firm in mind, aiming to cultivate consistent trading practices and reward effective risk management.

LAM features include equity and balance-based drawdowns, and the opportunity for traders to qualify for their first performance reward just 30 days after their initial trade, with subsequent performance rewards every two weeks. An exceptional aspect of this program is that traders who reach the Max Gains Limit before 30 days can apply for an early performance reward.

All LAM accounts operate on a simulated feed, accurately reflecting real market conditions and ensuring a realistic trading experience.

What is Max Gains Limit?

The Maximum Gains Limit (Max Gains Limit) on a trading account sets the highest percentage of gains a trader can achieve within a performance reward cycle, with specific rules:

  • Capped Earnings: Once the Max Gains Limit is reached, further gains are restricted until the next cycle or under conditions that permit an early performance reward or limit increase.

  • Automatic Trade Closure: When the gains limit is met, the account's trades are automatically closed to lock in those gains.

  • Early Performance Reward Eligibility: Traders become eligible for an early performance reward not only by reaching the Max Gains Limit within 30 days but also by meeting all trading objectives. Simply reaching the Max Gains Limit at any point can qualify a trader for early performance reward.

  • Net Trade Value Variation: Be aware that due to slippage and fees, the final amount from closed trades may vary by ±5% of the achieved gains.

What is a Level up or Next Level?

We've integrated a new feature into all our LAM (Live Action Mode) Plans to emphasize the progressive nature of our system. As traders achieve multiple performance rewards, they unlock higher performance reward and increased Max Gains Limits, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship and rewarding consistent performance and effective risk management.

In the LAM program, traders begin with a 4% Max Gains Limit and a 50% performance reward for the first three performance rewards. Reaching three performance reward advances you to Level 2, where your Max Gains Limit increases to 8% and performance reward rises to 60%. Achieving five consecutive performance rewards further enhances your Max Gains Limit to 10% and performance reward to 75%, reflecting your continued success and growth.

News Trading Restrictions

Yes

Although news trading is not restricted on challenge phase 1 and phase 2, we do have a restriction on News trading in simulated funded accounts. Please review the full breakdown here: News Trading

Disclaimer: We do not recommend engaging in news trading activities, as it could expose your account to significant risk. If we detect any misuse or a pattern of exclusively trading on news, we reserve the right to suspend your account, as such behavior violates our terms of use and reflects our firm's commitment to compensating traders in exchange for trading data.

Inactivity Periods

All accounts in all phases will be limited to a 30-day inactivity period. This means that if an ETX trader does not log into their account for more than 30 consecutive days, the account will be deactivated.

Please note that:

  • Days are consecutive, not trading days.

  • Activity means logging into the account, not necessarily taking positions.

  • If your account is inactive, you will need to contact us via live chat or email and request new account details to log back in.

Commissions Per Lot

In our trading programs on Both DX Trade & CTrader, the commission structure per lot is as follows:

  • Forex: $7 per lot

  • Metals: $7 per lot

  • Commodities: No Commissions

  • Indices: No commissions

  • Crypto: No commissions

Drawdown Reset Time

The simulated max daily loss limit resets every day between 4:58 PM - 5:05 PM EST. To ensure smooth functionality, we advise our simulated traders to not execute trades in between the window of 4:58 PM - 5:05 PM EST when the drawdown is being reset. Once your last simulated balance/equity (whichever is higher) is pulled for the trading day, your dashboard will update with your new Daily Breach Level. This is the amount your account simulated equity must stay above in order to not be breached.

Precaution Regarding the Use of EAs

It's important to note that the use of EAs on LAM accounts must still follow all other guidelines in accordance with ETX's Terms of Service. This includes, but is not limited to, prohibited trading strategies, copy trading from third-party signals, account management services, arbitrage trading (latency or reverse), and grid trading. Please advise caution when using third-party or publicly available EAs. The parameters of the EA you are using must be unique to your demo account as our internal systems may flag the account for copy simulated trading, which is a direct violation of our terms and conditions. In such cases, an investigation will be launched, which may result in the breach of the demo account.

Cheating Is Prohibited

Any trading styles that are deemed as "cheating", or otherwise not reflective of trading in the real market, are not permitted and will result in a violation of our Terms of Use. For this reason, it is against our rules to take advantage of strategies that generate risk-free, consistent simulated gains only on demo accounts. Our traders are expected to be trading on their accounts as if they are live accounts. Any use of a strategy that takes advantage of demo accounts will result in the closure of a Funded Trader’s account, whether in the evaluation phase or while funded. Please note that using any account management, “pass your challenge”, and/or copy trading services is also strictly prohibited and will result in the rejection of any Simulated Funded Accounts, as well as a permanent ban of all ETX services.

Minimum Trade Volume, Max Trade Volume and Max Position Limits

Please refer to our spreadsheet, which details all the limits. These limits are subject to change based on account size and leverage and are set by the broker, not ETX Funding. Note that the maximum lot size is provided for reference only and is not a recommendation; using the maximum lot size may conflict with our risk management policies. Click Here

Account Credential Safety

You are responsible for making sure your account credentials are safe. We do not reinstate accounts that have been hacked or distributed to third parties for trading and lost. If your account has been hacked, get in touch with our team so we can lock the account and change the password and run you through security protocols. No reinstatement of accounts will occur so it is important for you to get to us as quickly as you can if your account has been hacked.

Registration Fee Bonuses

LAM (Live Action Mode) program does not qualify for any Registration Fee Bonus at first performance reward.
