What is Account Rejuvenation?

Account Rejuvenation is a Non-refundable Account add-on that allows traders whose account balance is within 3% of the initial account balance to "rejuvenate" their negative account to Break Even. The rejuvenation will give you a brand new account. For the option to become available to use, all open trades must be closed and your account balance must remain within 3% of the initial balance. For example, if your account has an initial balance of $100,000, the balance must not be less than $97,000 after all open trades are closed to qualify to use the Rejuvenation option. In the event a trader's account balance is more than 3% of initial balance, they must trade their accounts back to eligibility. (Ex. 96,500 (ineligible), trades it back to $97,000 or higher (Eligible)).

What is a daily loss limit?

According to our rules, this is set at 5% from the days starting account balance or Equity. The rule says that at any moment of the day, the result of all closed positions in sum with the currently open floating G/Ls (Gains/losses) must not hit the determined daily loss limit. Refer to this formula:

Current Daily Loss Limit = results of closed positions of this day + result of open positions.

For example, on an ETX Campaign with the initial account balance of $100,000, the Daily Loss limit is $5,000. If you happen to lose $4,000 in your closed trades, your account must not decline more than $1,000 on this day. It must also not go -$1,000 in open floating drawdown. The limit is inclusive of commissions and swaps.

Vice versa, if you have a gain of $4,000 in one day, then you can afford to lose $9,000, but not more than that. Once again, be mindful that your Daily Loss limit counts your open trades as well. For example, if you have closed trades with a loss of $6,000 and then you open a new trade that goes into a floating loss of -$3,500 but ends up positive in the end, unfortunately, it is already too late. At one moment, your daily loss limit was -$9,500 on total equity, which is more than the permitted loss of $9,000 for that day.

Be mindful as the Daily Loss limit resets at 5pm EST. Let’s say that one day you had a Gain of $3,000. On the same day, you have an open position with a currently floating loss of $7,000. On this day, the Daily Loss limit is not violated. The currentDaily Loss limit is $4,000. ( $4,000 closed gain– $7,000 open position). However, if you hold this position with an open loss of $7,000 after 5pm EST, the Daily Loss limit will be violated. This is because your previous days gains doesn’t count for a new day and the open loss of $7,000 exceeds the max simulated daily permitted loss of $5,000.

The size of the Daily Loss Limit gives the trader enough space for trading. That’s also why the Daily Loss limit includes your potential floating losses.

What is leverage?

Leverage in trading refers to the use of borrowed funds or financial instruments to amplify potential returns or losses from an investment. It allows traders to control a larger position in the market than their actual account size would permit. By using leverage, traders can magnify their trading positions and potentially increase their gains if the market moves in their favor. For example, a 1:100 leverage ratio means that for every $1 of the trader's account size, they can control $100 in the market.

What is an EA?

An EA, or an Expert Advisor is a software program or algorithm that is designed to automate trading decisions based on predefined rules or strategies. EAs are commonly used in the forex market but can also be applied to other financial markets. EAs can be created by traders or purchased from third-party providers. They are typically integrated with trading platforms such as MetaTrader 4 or 5 and can execute trades automatically based on a set of predetermined parameters. EAs can analyze market data, monitor price movements, and generate trading signals based on various technical indicators and trading rules.

What is HFT?

HFT (High-Frequency Trading) involves the use of advanced technology to exploit small price discrepancies in the market. HFT refers to a trading strategy that uses powerful computers and high-speed connections to execute a large number of trades in fractions of a second. HFT firms aim to gain from short-term price movements by taking advantage of minuscule price differentials across various financial instruments. They rely on algorithms and sophisticated trading systems to identify and exploit these fleeting opportunities. This is not allowed. Failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate violation of your account and suspension.

What is Latency arbitrage?

Latency arbitrage is a trading strategy employed by some high-frequency trading (HFT) firms. It takes advantage of slight time lags (latency) in the transmission of market data. These time discrepancies can occur due to the physical distance between trading servers. Latency arbitrage traders exploit these microsecond delays by executing trades ahead of slower market participants, gaining from price discrepancies that arise in these brief windows. The strategy uses complex algorithms and high-speed trading systems to detect price differences across different trading venues or exchanges and act on them before other market participants can react. This is not allowed. Failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate violation of your account and suspension.

What is the performance reward?

The trader will receive a performance reward equivalent to 80% of the notional value of their simulated trading profits. This value is calculated using the same principles that govern actual market trades but is applied to the simulated trades executed by the trader. Performance reward can increase to 90% with the purchase of the Add-on or 4 consecutive performance rewards received.

Can I Scale My Account?

Yes, you can scale up to $2M if you show consistency in your trading performance. The scaling opportunity is determined by our team based on your trading results. What is the Growth Target?

What is a Max Gains Limit?

The Maximum Gains Limit on a trading account refers to the capped percentage of gains that a trader is allowed to earn from their trading activities within 30 days. When a trader reaches this predetermined percentage, they cannot earn additional gains until the next period begins or other conditions are met to achieve early performance reward and/or increase the limit. If a trader achieves the Maximum Gains Limit within a 30-day period and meets all trading objectives, they may qualify for an early performance reward.

Your evaluation starts on the day you make your first trade. This marks the beginning of your journey in the evaluation process, where your trading strategy, risk management, and ability to meet the growth targets are assessed.

When Will I Receive My Performance Rewards from the Live Simulated Account?

Once you receive your Live Simulated Account, you need to complete a minimum of four trading days. After that, you will receive your first performance reward 30 days after your first trade on the account. Following the initial performance reward, performance rewards are processed bi-weekly, providing regular and timely access to your earned gains.

Can I Merge My Accounts?

You can only merge your Evaluation accounts if they meet certain criteria: They must be live simulated accounts, not previously merged, not traded or have received the first performance reward on both accounts, be at the initial balance, and the total amount must not exceed $300,000. Accounts can be merged only once and must be traded separately during the evaluation phase. To merge your demo funded accounts, you need to send an email to [email protected] with the live simulated account numbers that you wish to merge.

What Happens if a Violation is Detected on My Account?

If a violation is detected on your account, the account will be suspended and will not qualify for any future performance rewards.

What is Considered an Account Purchase Fee?

The account purchase fee refers to the base fee listed for the account. This fee does not include any additional costs related to add-ons, upgrades, or resets that ETX Funding may offer to traders.

What Happens if I Attain the Growth Target and Then Accidentally Violate the Drawdown Rule?

If you reach the growth target but subsequently violate the drawdown rule or any other trading objective, your account will not be eligible to proceed to the next phase of the evaluation. Adherence to all trading objectives is crucial throughout the evaluation process.

I Passed Phase 1, What Happens Next?

After passing Phase 1, ensure you have no remaining open or running trades, have completed the minimum requirement of 4 trading days, and have reached the growth target of 8% with no violations (10% for Solo Campaigns: 1-Step). You can then upgrade your Phase 1 account to a Phase 2 account via your Dashboard, provided you have met all the necessary requirements.

I Passed Phase 2, What Happens Next?

Upon successfully completing Phase 2, ensure all trades are closed, you've met the 4-trading day requirement, and achieved the 5% growth target without any violations. You can then upgrade your Phase 2 account to a Live Simulated Account from your Dashboard. This option becomes available only after fulfilling all the required criteria. Live accounts initially operate in "READ-ONLY" mode, and trading is enabled once you submit the required KYC documents and a signed contract.

What is Considered a Trading Day?

A trading day is defined by its market close at 6pm EST every day. This definition is crucial for understanding the timeframe within which trading activities are considered for a single day.

What is a Campaign?

It is another word for evaluation or test that traders are able to purchase and participate in.

How Long Do I Have to Complete My Campaign?

There is no set time limit for the completion of ETX Funding's Campaign. This flexibility allows traders to operate at their own pace. However, it's important to note that traders must execute at least one trade every 30 days to avoid account suspension due to inactivity.

How Many Days of Inactivity Does a Trader Get?

Traders must initiate a trade on their account within 30 days of account purchase. Failure to do so will result in account suspension due to inactivity, emphasizing the need for regular trading activity.

Can I Hold Trades Over the Weekend?

Yes, holding trades over the weekend is permitted for traders with both Regular & Swing accounts. This allowance provides flexibility for traders who employ strategies that require positions to be kept open over the weekend.
