At ETX, we prioritize the safety and integrity of our platform. Maintaining accurate personal information on your profile is essential for a smooth experience. If you need to update any of your personal information, here’s what you need to know.
What Can You Change?
Our system allows users to edit most personal details directly from their ETX profile. You can update the following:
Phone Number: You can easily update your phone number, and the changes will take effect immediately.
Email Address: Keep your email current to ensure you don’t miss out on important communications.
Date of Birth: Ensure your date of birth is accurate, especially for verification purposes.
Address: Make sure your residential address is up to date for accurate profile information.
What Can’t You Change?
For security reasons, some information is locked and cannot be edited once set:
Name: The name on your profile must match the name on your KYC (Know Your Customer) documents. This is crucial to verify your identity during your initial purchase and to improve your chances of passing KYC.
Username: Your username is considered part of your unique identity on the platform and cannot be changed after registration.
What If There's a Spelling Error in Your Name or Email at Initial Purchase?
If a spelling error occurred when entering your name or email during the initial purchase, we are unable to manually correct it for security reasons. However, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue and ensure your information is accurate:
Submit Proof of Identity: Take a selfie holding your government-issued ID and a piece of paper with today’s date written on it (for name errors).
Upload a Clear Image: Submit a single clear image of your government-issued ID to verify your correct name (for name errors).
Create a New Account: After verification, you will need to create a new account with the correct name or email.
Once this process is complete, we will issue or migrate any active accounts to your new profile, so you won’t lose any progress or account history.
Important Note on Spelling Errors
The process for correcting a spelling error in your name or email is strictly for minor, genuine mistakes (e.g., typos or misspellings). Any attempt to use this process to change your name to that of a completely different individual will be treated as fraudulent behavior. If we detect that a user is attempting to impersonate another person or use incorrect information intentionally, it will result in the immediate termination of the account and a permanent ban from all ETX services.

At ETX, we have strict protocols to prevent fraudulent activities. If we detect or suspect that a user is attempting to use someone else’s personal information, it will result in immediate termination of their account and a permanent ban from our platform.
Where Can You Change Your Personal Information?
To update your personal information, follow these steps:
Log in to Trader HQ.
Navigate to the Profile section.
Click on the Personal Information tab.
Edit the details you wish to update and click Save.
Please note: We do not change user information on behalf of users. All updates must be made directly through the user’s Trader HQ account.
